The Functional Community Ecology Laboratory (LABEF), part of the Department of Botany at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), is pleased to announce the applicants selected to advance in the 2026 PIBIC Undergraduate Research Scholarship selection process. The scholarship is associated with the research project Monitoring and Restoring Ecosystem Services in the Araucaria Forest, supervised by Professor Marcos Bergmann Carlucci.

All seven applicants who submitted complete applications have been approved to move forward to the interview stage. Interviews will be held on June 26, 2026, at LABEF (Room 420, Department of Botany, UFPR), according to the schedule provided in the official announcement.

We welcome Gabrielle Rodrigues Souza and Amanda Tomazi as new members of LABEF. Both are students at PPG Ecology and Conservation in UFPR, pursuing a PhD and a Masters degree, respectively.
