I am an ecologist with special interest on the assembly of communities at varying spatial and temporal scales. I use both trait- and phylogeny-based approaches to address niche- and history-related questions in community ecology. Most of my studies address questions from local to regional spatial scales, but I also have experience working with macroecological scales. I am interested in Ecology from purely theoretical questions linked to functional ecology, community assembly and biodiversity and ecosystem functioning (BEF) to conservation and restoration issues. I am enthusiastic about the Araucaria Mixed Forest and the mosaics it forms with South Brazilian grasslands.

Biologist, Master in Botany at UFV and PhD student at the Graduate Program in Ecology and Conservation at UFPR. I am interested in the conservation and assembly mechanisms of native grassland communities in Brazil. I’ve been using trait-based approaches to understand how abiotic and biotic factors select species based on their ecological strategies. My PhD is funded by a Capes-Brazil scholarship.

Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Acre (UFAC), Master's degree in Ecology and Management of Natural Resource also from UFAC. Currently, I'm a PhD student in the Ecology and Conservation postgraduate program at UFPR. My project involves the use of satellite technology (Sentinel) for mapping Araucaria Mixed Forests, alongside machine learning and field research to identify priority preservation areas, estimate CO2 stored in the Araucaria Mixed Forest, and map remaining areas and their degradation stages. My PhD is funded by a Capes-Brazil scholarship.

Biologist, PhD student in the Postgraduate Program in Botany at UFPR. I am currently researching the history of restoration of the Araucaria Mixed Forest, evaluating the importance of nurseries for active restoration actions in this forest type and looking for restoration strategies focused on the ecosystem functioning of the Araucaria Mixed Forest, aiming at the conservation of species resistant to climate change. My PhD is funded by a Capes-Brazil scholarship.

I am a Biologist pursuing a Master's degree in Ecology and Conservation at UFPR. I am interested in understanding the temperature effects on plants. It involves testing the frost tolerance of saplings allocated in forest-grassland mosaics and physiological experiments using heat and freeze temperatures. My research is funded by Fundação Araucária in the project of NAPI Genetic Resources and Biotechnology.

Biology major at the Pontifical Catholic University of Parana (PUCPR), postgraduated (lato sensu) in Biodiversity (PUCPR) and currently a master's student of the Postgraduate Program in Ecology and Conservation at UFPR. My research line focus on community ecology, specially forest regeneration and ecologic succession, aimed to the conservation of the Araucaria forest.

Biologist. Master's student of the Postgraduate Program in Ecology and Conservation at UFPR. My research uses a framework that combines native species selection scenarios that optimize carbon stocks in the restoration of the Atlantic Forest. It also seeks computational solutions to restore ecosystem services and co-benefits for biodiversity. My MSc is funded by a Capes-Brazil scholarship.
